Fingerprints are done

Well there is one more thing checked off the list. We all went up to Alexandria (about a 2 hour drive) and got our finger prints taken on Friday. Everyone living in the house over the age of 18 has to have them done, so Pat had to go too. I have to say the kids were really good. We took gameboys and leapsters to keep them occupied. The letter that we got said that we had an 8am appointment. Yah..along with about 200 other people...but we did not know that part until we got there (10 mins before 8a) and saw the line a mile long at the door. But I have to say I think we were all done by 9-9:30 AM. So all in all not too bad of an experience. Of course we still had to drive home and stop along the way for lunch and such. So it was almost an all day affair. But not all together too unpleasant. The best part was while we were there waiting for them to call our number. A family sat right in front of us that had a little boy they had adopted from Korea. So we milked them for info and just watched this cutie little thing run his parents up and down the aisles. So it really reminded us why we are doing all of this..leaving the house by 5:30am to go to Alexandria to get finger prints..getting all of our medical info together...trying to write autobiographies..ect. You can really get bogged down in all of the to dos and start to wonder why you are doing all of this and putting all of this time into it and forget that it is a him. Our next son. This cutie little boy that if we are lucky will be running us up and down the aisles some time soon.
PS..I thought I would update you about my previous post. I was on the phone/mostly hold for only 58 mins this time.
