no news

Still no news.

I feel like I have to start every conversation with that statement. Don't get me wrong, I am not upset with anyone for asking the question "So have you heard anything?". My 97 year old grandmother died on 10/28 and I had to make an unexpected trip to M.I. this past week. So of course I saw all of my extended family, and that was the question that was on everyone's mind, even if they were trying not to ask me. I know the waiting is hard, and can be confusing especially for people who are not familiar with international adoption. Trust me the waiting is even harder for those of us that are all too familiar with international adoption.

The director of the Korean program at our adoption agency is in Korea right now. She went to visit the Korean adoption agency that they work with. It will be a great opportunity for her to gather information about how the process is going since the new regulations went into effect at the beginning of the year. And it will also give her a chance to check up on our file specifically. Hopefully when she returns, on the 13th, she will be able to share some piece of information with us about our file and if and when our referral is coming.

Truthfully, at this point I am not sure information about what is going on will do anything for us. I don't really care why we are not getting our referral, it must be a good reason. Lord, please let there be a good reason. I have to believe that He is in control and we are just waiting for the baby that belongs in our family. Please let him find us soon.
