After almost 30 years I am moving back to my "home" state, Michigan. Don't worry, I am not leaving my family behind, we are all moving to the great mitten in the north.
Raymond started a job search a few months ago and it happened to co-inside with our annual summer trip to visit my sister. We have always talked about living "up there" ,so he started reaching Whirlpool, since their headquarters is 5 miles from my sister's house. He really liked what he read and heard about the company so he added them to his list (which also included a few companies here in the Richmond area) of possible employers. 3 months later...here we are, moving to MI. He just accepted a position with Whirlpool and he starts on 11/29. I know....crazy.
So now, we need to rent the house. Selling our house here in VA is not good idea right now, but we hear good things about renting and so that is the direction we are headed. The girls and I will be here until the house rents...whenever that is. Will is going to head up about a week after Ray to get started in school (the same school as his cousin = happy kid) up there. Will we be here/there for Christmas? I dunno ? Will we even be together for Christmas? I dunno that either. Sometimes you can't wait for all the answers to all of your questions before you move forward. You have to step out and take it one step at a time, trusting that God does know all of those answers and whatever they are, they are all part of His plan.
How are the kids? The same as me, excited, scared, sad (to leave our friends and family here), but hopeful for the future. A future that I never really allowed myself to imagine. A future that includes Holidays with my sister , my mom and aunt, uncle and cousins, winters watching my children playing in the snow with their cousins and second cousins, white Christmas's, and so much more.
