Raining in San Antonio

Well I made it through; the 4:30am wake up, the checking of 4 items (one of which was a huge ,over the weight limit, bag that had to be redistributed)with 3 kids and only 2 hands, 2 flights with a 7yr old that had not flown (that she could remember),a cranky 1yr old, and a 9yr old that believes he is now an old pro at this flying thing. Oh and did I mention the connection, where we only had 1hour to get to our next flight and eat breakfast (that I paid $30 for and we only ate about 1/3 of). But we made it, with all of our luggage, all 3 of my kids, and most of my sanity.

So, the next day, off to Sea World we go. Ugh! Thank goodness we have season passes! It took us and hour to get there (only because of traffic) and it felt like we were there with about a MILLION other people in about 150 degree heat. We tried to have a good time and good attitudes, really we did, but about 2pm when we were at the back of a mile long lunch line, we called it quits. Headed for the air conditioned car, and the pool at the apartment. Unaware that this would be the last of the good (all be it HOT) weather for probably the entire week.

Raining. Raining in San Antonio. Thunder storms, showers, downpours, cloudy icky mess. No fun, in a city that is all about the outdoor activities. So no boat ride/tour down the S.A. river, no wildlife safari, no water park, even The Alamo would not be fun in the rain. Not the vacation I imagined in a city that sees at the most 3inches of rain in one month, but typically about an inch a month. This is why I am on the Internet, writing about all of this, and searching for our next indoor activity.

So long for now, from Rainy San Antonio.
