We are still here!

I am coming back to our original family blog. We just moved out of my sister's house and into my grandma's old house, which has been vacant, last week. We are back to our family of 5. We have some tight quarters but we are making it just fine. We now have 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and about 1000 sqft. My Mom had to show me how to work the ancient microwave...but it works. Now if we can just get the washer and dryer going we will be good.

Our house in VA is rented, thank the Lord. There are a few kinks with the new renters that we need to iron out, but I believe that we can work things out and have good renters for at least a year. Yeah! Now we can actually get a mortgage for the house we are having built here in MI. And things are moving along with the new house, I will post pics when I get a chance. No drywall yet, just studs and wiring, but the siding is almost finished. We have at least met most of our new neighbors and there are plenty of kids for ours to make friends with. My prayer is that we will be in and settled before school starts up in the fall.

The kids have all adjusted really well to being here in MI. Will loves his new school and friends. Brooke did well with home school and made some friends through a local home school group, church, along with art and gymnastics classes. She would like to try public school again so we are working on some things to support her in that goal. Hope has loved gymnastics class and church, and has also made a couple of friends. Raymond and I are trying to get to know people from church and our new neighborhood, but as adults it is always a little harder to make new friends, I think. Having my family close by really helps though.
